With only a week to go until Christmas day and the two year anniversary of the site we're at 9851 reviews. It would be really awesome if we could get to 10,000 reviews by christmas day, so if you're reading this please help out by just writing two or three.

It's a grey sunday morning here in London Town, but I've just pushed a couple of updates live onto the site. First up, for those of you into that sort of thing - you can now find The Ten Word Review on FaceBook. Please add yourself as a fan if you are!

So, there we go. On Sunday I finally pushed a major update to the site. No doubt many of you will already have noticed some of the changes, but you've probably not seen them all. Here's a quick run-down of some of the things that have changed:

It's months since I last wrote a blog entry on here, and for that I apologise. Don't take my silence for inaction though, there's been a lot going on in development since the last time I wrote. So much has been going on in fact that we're almost ready for a new release of the site!

Well, it's been an interesting month. The Ten Word Flash Badge was released, as a site we reached 5000 reviews, and I personally hit 600. As well as those achievements though, the eagle eyed amongst you will have noticed that up by your username at the top right of the site is a little bit of text that says what level you're at and how many points you currently have.

It's official - I've finally released a basic alpha version of a public API for TheTenWordReview.com. Right now it's quite a simple (but powerful) thing that lets you pull out lists of reviews in either JSON, serialised PHP or RSS format. These lists of reviews can be whittled down pretty much any way you like - by username, review or category title or any combination of the above. You also get to choose whether you'd like to pull out your list of reviews chronologically or by popularity. I'm hoping that by doing this it will inspire a few of you to create something sparkly from the data.
Saturday 12th May, 2007 - 05:23pm
It's that time of the year again - it's Eurovision night! This year, pretty much just because I can, I'm going to be live reviewing the entire evening.
Thursday 3rd May, 2007 - 07:21am
I know some of you will be going to see Spider-Man 3 this weekend, so why not stop by The Ten Word Review afterwards and let us all know what you thought of it? Seen any other good films lately? You should review them too!
Sunday 1st April, 2007 - 06:57pm
It's a month now since I announced that I was running three competitions here on the site, and I'm sure you'll all be glad that the winners are about to be announced. So, without further ado, here goes...
Simply write exactly ten words about the thing you're reviewing.
