Fantastic reviews in exactly ten words – no more, no less. 11054 reviews written, 4568 things reviewed…
Thursday 1st March, 2007 - 09:35pm
It's a new month, and it's time to announce something special - throughout March I'm going to be running three competitions here on TheTenWordReview.com with what I think are some pretty sweet prizes. And the best bit is, entering's as easy as writing and rating some reviews!
The first competition is based around rating reviews, and will net you ten Region Two DVDs of my choice out of a big pile I have waiting to be given out at home. Essentially, what will happen is that every time you rate a review your name goes into a great big "hat". At the end of the month I will pull one name from the "hat" and that user will win the DVDs. So, the more reviews you rate, the better your chance will be of winning this competition!
The second competition is the biggy, and will net the winner their very own iPod Shuffle, in whatever colour they'd like. This fantastic prize will be won by the person who, in my eyes, writes the very best review of the month. Simple! The way that I'll do this is to take the twenty reviews written during March which have received the highest overall user ratings and then choose my favourite of those.
The final competition is a good one for all you site owners out there. All you have to do is put a link to TheTenWordReview.com on your site. For every visitor you send to the site (based on my logs), your name will be put into another giant "hat". Come the end of the month I'll pull a name out and that person will win a Super Secret prize that I've not quite decided on yet. Whatever it is, it'll be special. Can I make the request please that if you're going to take pat in this competition, please please please put your website url into your details! This will make it a lot easier for me to determine the winner.
I'm hoping to run some competitions like these fairly regularly on the site, and the prizes are being paid for out of my own pocket. This pocket is, in turn, lined by you lot buying stuff via the Amazon adverts that you see dotted around the site. So, by entering Amazon via this site and then going on to buy from them you'll help me to hand out bigger and better prizes!
Good luck everyone! I'll announce the winners on April 1st!
Simply write exactly ten words about the thing you're reviewing.
